NEWS FLASH: March 13, 2012 HB289, Statewide Smoking Ban bill goes to the house floor. CLICK HERE SEE THE BILL + COMMENTS +FLYER YOU CAN USE PLEASE CALL NOW! LINES OPEN TILL 11 PM. This bill will ban smoking in any non-residential establishment across the Commonwealth. While there are those on both sides of the smoking preference issue, this is very much a matter of freedom and private property rights, regardless of whether you smoke or not. Individuals and business owners should have a right to decide whether they will cater to non-smokers or to smokers (or both) and customers should be free to choose which businesses to patronize. This is a fundamental Constitutional issue of property rights and freedom of association. Regardless of whether this is your personal issue or not, please call and leave a message. Preserving the rights of individuals and business owners on this issue helps to preserve overall freedoms. Call the Legislative Hotline at 1-800-372-7181 (open til 11 pm).
